Job Summary

The Delivery Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all aspects of software development across multiple technology platforms and disciplines.  Perform a highly visible, senior role leading the delivery of initiatives to our clients with responsibility for Relationship Management, Project Management and Business / Technical Delivery.

Essential Functions:

Project Management

  • Responsible for the successful and on-time delivery of the project, including all work efforts required to deliver (including functional and technical aspects)

  • Demonstrate organizational and leadership experience, ability to motivate team and drive execution, performance driven with the necessary intensity and optimism to succeed and deliver

  • Responsible for identifying, tracking, and managing the project risk, issues, action items and status of all deliverables

  • Software development background and ability to understand the various aspects of the project and to lead staff to meet project plan tasks and timelines and to identify and escalate risk

  • Responsible for delivering the project within the budget

  • Ensure all contracts and SOWs are up to date and executed fully

  • Identify new opportunities at clients and drive the process for additional work


Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary contact with Client stakeholders for all aspects of the project

  • Develop and communicate weekly and monthly status reports to Client

  • Maintain working relationships/partnerships with existing and future vendors

  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to negotiate and influence

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients for future BTM projects


Other Functions:

  • Follow BTM methodologies and procedures

  • Able to contribute to other work efforts on the project as needed

  • May perform other job-related duties as assigned


Education and Experience, and Other Skills:

  • Candidate should have 3-5 years of project management experience and 2-3 years delivering software-based projects

  • Four-year related college degree

  • Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Previous experience delivering software-based development projects (which could include consulting or product experience)

  • Experience in project management and execution of multiple development projects, particularly as a lead on systems development, with working knowledge of applications development lifecycle

  • Previous experience implementing Oracle Retail or Micros XStore products is a plus

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, during which two or more of the following occurred:

    • successfully developed and implemented new technologies and work processes

    • demonstrated high competency in project management and the execution of multiple or large projects

    • demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management

    • demonstrated leadership of multi discipline, high-performance work teams/groups demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems successfully

    • developed and implemented applications using new and emerging technologies established a successful track record of managing joint IT/business teams through life-cycle phases

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Smartsheet

  • Experience with a resource management tool such as Kantata
